Introduction to our Artist in Resident, Veronika Straberger.

In September, we welcomed visual artist, Veronika Straberger to our school. She is a professional artist and will be working with the pupils throughout the year to create a Buzzing project, themed around biodiversity, pollination and bees in particular.  
Veronika Straberger, will be working with our school this year as part of the ‘Small Towns, Big Ideas’ initiative launched by Galway 2020 - Capital of Culture and supported by the Galway County Council’s ‘Artist in Schools’ programme.

On September 26^th, the children started by creating a ‘Secret Garden’ art doodle wall filled with flowers to attract bees & pollinating insects. They printed with poster-paint using recycled materials found in our recycling bin as stamps.

  The Junior Room with Veronika create a Garden for our bees to be safe and  happy in!
